Some new pieces here from the recently released "Torn Asunder" expansion for Legend of the Five Rings. I knew that I had some art in this set, but actually couldn't remember what pieces they were, it's been so long ago that I did them. But after a little digging, I was really happy to find these three pieces as they are some of my favorite card art from the last year. I think they are probably some of the best examples of digital painting emulating a painterly traditional look that I've been able to pull off so far. Now if only I could remember how I did it.....

Nocturnal Assault is easily my favorite here. You don't need to see the face, you can already figure out whats going on and theres some great contrast in light/darks.
